From November 12 to 14, 2024, we participated in the 38th EFFoST International Conference in the beautiful city of Bruges, hosted by KU Leuven and UGent.
Under the theme “Future Food Systems: Innovation through Progress at Scientific Interfaces”, the event sparked inspiring discussions about the future of food – innovative and interdisciplinary.
Representing our chair, Marius Henkel, PhD candidates Christina Peternell and Franziska Beck, as well as PostDoc Chantal Treinen, showcased exciting contributions in the fields of Precision Fermentation and Cultured Meat. Through posters and engaging discussions, we highlighted how scientific innovation can drive the development of sustainable, healthy, and consumer-accepted food systems.
We are proud to be part of this vibrant network and contribute to shaping the future of food systems!
Stay tuned for our upcoming projects – we are working on the food technologies of tomorrow!
