Sabine Wittmann's Successful Dissertation on Energy Consumption in Vertical Farming

Congratulations to our student Sabine Wittmann, who successfully defended her doctoral thesis on July 9. The thesis, entitled “Light Strategies and Their Effects on Energy Demand, Productivity and Resource Use Efficiency in Container Based Vertical Farming of Fruiting Crops,” was supervised by Prof. Dr. Senthold Asseng of the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and Prof. Dr. Heike Mempel of Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences (HSWT).
