| The "Revolution of food production" project presented by an interdisciplinary group of TUM led by Professor Asseng as HEF director was selected among the six finalists of the Jahrhunderproject award of the Werner Siemens foundation out of a total of 123 projects presented. For now, he will receive a prize of 1 million CHF and will be able to compete for the final prize of 100 CHF. The aim of the project is to develop an innovative highly automated food production chain that minimizes the use of water and soil, is weather-independent and avoids the use of pesticides. |
