Drying Technology

The aim is to develop drying processes that are gentle on the product, fast and economical, and to investigate the formation of the product structure during the drying process. The drying processes considered are microwave freeze drying, spray drying and spray freeze drying as well as classical freeze drying.

 

Particle and Powder Technology

The aim is to investigate the morphology formation of particles during spray drying in order to produce particles with defined properties and particle shapes. These can then be used as functional particles in food or for encapsulation.
